How to Add YouTube Annotation and Cards
There are other tools on YouTube
that will help to increase more views and audience engagement on your channel.
These tools are YouTube annotations and cards :
Annotations : YouTube Annotation is
addition of a text layer, link or hotspots over your video. They add
interactive boxes which link to other websites or videos (any link you want).
How to add YouTube annotations:
1. Click on the video manager tab
2. Click edit tab under the video
screen shot you want to add the annotation on
3. Click on the annotation tab
4. On the right panel click on “+
Add Annotation” and select the kind of annotation you want to add
5. Add requisite text or link in
the text box
6. Select the font size of the text
7. Select the color of the box
background
8. Select the timings of the pop up
annotation from the timeline
9. Select the size of the box by
dragging the corner of the box outline
10. Apply changes
Cards : YouTube Cards are similar
to annotations but more interactive. They allow the owner of the video to add
images and other links. A small box appears, clicking on which will activate
the cards.
How to add YouTube Cards:
1. Click on the video manager tab
2. Click edit tab under the video
screen shot you want to add the card on
3. Click on the card tab
4. On the right panel click on “Add
Card” drop down menu and select the type of card you want to add
5. Click on the create button which
will open the corresponding video
6. Once you finish the subsequent
information required click create card
7. Select the timeline for the “I”
to appear which leads to the card slide
8. Apply changes and exit.
